2007 Ministers' Salary Survey

The annual salary survey assists the regional ministers as they work with search committees, finance committees and personnel committees in local congregations. The survey results are not meant to prescribe for congregations how much they should pay their ministers.  It is intended as a tool for congregations to examine their compensation practices and policies relative to congregations with similar characteristics.

The 2007 survey was conducted entirely online and generated 123 complete responses, a much better response rate than either the 2005 or 2006 survey, which received 96 and 78 responses respectively. Online data collection provides reports with finer detail than has been available in the past. The breakdown of results available on this site will allow congregational leaders to compare their compensation relative to congregations very similar to themselves in size and ministry context.
